Meet Dr Justin

With a decade of clinical experience, Dr Justin Kuei Shen Liu brings a broad and highly trained skill set to the team at Ultra Smiles Dental. A graduate of the University of Queensland (Bachelor of Dental Science with Honours, 2016), he began his career with placements in rural Queensland before working in private practice and Aboriginal health services regionally, and later across private and public dentistry in New South Wales.

Dr Justin has invested heavily in postgraduate education, completing structured programs in orthodontics, TMD and sleep apnoea management, implant dentistry accreditation through the Australian Society of Implant Dentistry, and regenerative dentistry techniques. He holds Fellowship of the Pierre Fauchard Academy, is a member of the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons (RACDS) and the Australian Dental Association, and lectures as a Clinical Educator at the University of Sydney Faculty of Medicine and Health.
At the heart of Dr Justin’s approach is patient education — helping people understand not just what treatment they need, but why, so they’re equipped to look after their own oral health long-term. He’s known for creative, evidence-based problem-solving, often finding ways to preserve teeth that might otherwise be considered for extraction, and is fluent in both English and Mandarin.

Away from the clinic, Dr Justin is kept busy as a father of two young children, and enjoys reading in whatever time remains.
